The ƵLibrary

Calling all cinephiles! On April 25, 2024, 6:30 pm, in the Ƶlibrary, it will be Lecturer Stephan Delbos’s turn to be held accountable for his reprehensible taste in film!

For the ƵFilm Watchers club, ƵLibrary, and School of Humanities & Social Sciences are back with a film series like no other before! Tired of holding up the bar, this time they’ve decided to lower it—in fact, they’ve dropped it on the floor with a loud clang and let it roll right out the doors of academia!

So, hold on to your hats and buckle your seatbelts, because Marais and three other Ƶlecturers have been asked to break into their own filmic memory banks and steal the cheapest movie they can get their hands on. And if that’s not bad enough, they’re being forced to stand in front of an audience, take responsibility for their embarrassing choice, and screen it publicly!

Yes, you heard that correctly: the baddest of the bad, the worst of the worst, the tuttiest and the futtiest, the degraded and the cursed. It’s time to put the lipstick on thick, wrap that pink feather boa around your neck, and come to the ƵLibrary for an evening of film, fun, and frolic. You’ve heard the phrase “so bad, it’s good’? These films are so horrible, they’re genius!
